Does this look crooked to you?

So over the years I get these "snags" in my back, which I thought was normal for everyone. I always thought it was a bone that needed to pop or something like that, so I would wait for it to heal in a few days. This last time it has been over a month and a half, so I gave up dealing with the pain. I went to a chiropractor for the first time in my life. I figured he'd just give my back a few pops and we'd be good to go. He started asking me all these questions. Then he got the X-rays back and this is what I saw on my next visit. I can't believe that my head is tilted that much! Isn't your head supposed to be straight?? Yah, it is...I'm retarded. He said it's Torticollis and those snag feelings are actually pinched nerves. I have about 5 vertebra that are twisted a little and because the nerves can't send messages properly, eventually the muscles pull different on both sides and you get the tilted head and curved spine - and the pinched nerves. He talked about other issues it causes and it just explained a lot! And this whole time I figured I was just getting old really fast. :) Phew!
So he said he can probably straighten it most of the way in about 6 weeks or so. I'll put the before and after X-rays up once we get to that point. Relief here I come, yay! I don't know about you, but I just love getting my back and neck popped. The more pops the merrier.

That's crazy! I've heard about torticollis in infants, but I didn't know you could aquire it as an adult. My daughter had six months of physical therapy to correct what they first thought was torticollis (the tightening of the SCM), but ended up to be a head tilt due to a weak SCM. Anyway, I hope that made sense. Good luck with the chiropracter! Sorry for the long entry- it's late and I tend to babble...

at least it's fixable without surgery! I was wondering if you had scoliosis like Shaun and Celeste! Hope it gets better quick!

Your back is crooked like a question mark. You should get some magic shoes. They'll make you straight as an arrow. For those who are confused, this references "Forrest Gump".

Scott had issues with something similar. He had a much better experience with a physical therapist than a chiropractor - just so you know, there are options. I am excited for your job!
