"Spicy"

Have you tried Rubios? I got a free coupon a few months ago and since then we've gone a few times because we're hooked on the Grilled Gourmet Tacos - the steak ones. Yummy! James especially likes them because they remind him of tacos he would eat on his mission. We have to share a meal though because they're kind of pricey just fyi - their only draw back.

Well anyway, every time we go, they ask us for our name. Like always, we say "Peacock". They always give us a funny look, shrug their shoulders and put the name down. And then when they call our name, they say "PICA" (prounounced peeka) and all the people who speak Spanish look at us and snicker. When we look at our ticket, they have actually written down the word "Pica". Every time. So why is this so funny? Well the cashiers don't know the word "Peacock" so they think we're saying "Pica". Pica means "spicy" in Spanish. It's become our little joke and we laugh every time they call our name now. So funny.

Next time we need to say "pavo real" (the word for peacock), but I think I prefer to be called SPICY.

Apparently they think we're pretty hot at Rubios. ;)
